The first level of black belt is the final stage of one life cycle or the beginner mind, and a beginning of another exciting and fruitful adventure. Thus, we see that it is not only the end of the one stage but, more importantly, the beginning of a path which leads up through the ranks of higher black belts to true mastery of karate and life.
