KAKIE

Kakie refers to a series of two-person exercises in Goju-Ryu that are often referred to as “Push-Hands”.
These exercises help the karateka in a number of areas, for example:
  • strengthing of the arms,
  • building the student's “root“
  • sticky sensitivity to the opponent's arms
  • sense of the opponent's balance
  • techniques for unbalancing the opponent
  • setup for locking techniques
  • coordination of the body (hip, etc.)
